North Tarrant Chamber of Commerce Celebrates America’s 250th Birthday with 2,500-Drone Show
Free July 1 Family Fireworks event features one of the region’s largest drone shows, fireworks, live music, family activities!

The North Tarrant Chamber of Commerce invites families, neighbors, and friends from across the region to gather for the annual North Tarrant Family Fireworks celebration on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

This year’s free community tradition will help kick off America’s 250th birthday celebration with a 2,500-drone show, fireworks, live music, and family activities. The evening brings residents from Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, and Watauga together for a shared celebration of community, freedom and history.

“We are proud to support area businesses and help bring our communities together to celebrate one another, our freedom and our shared history,” said Jack Bradshaw, president and CEO of the North Tarrant Chamber of Commerce. “This year’s event is especially meaningful as 2,500 drones light up the sky in honor of America’s 250th birthday.”

The fireworks and drone show, produced by PrestoTechnics and Sky Elements Drones, is scheduled from 9:30-10 p.m. and can be viewed from the parking lots of Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum, 6108 Broadway Ave. in Haltom City, and BISD Plaza, 6351 Boulevard 26 in North Richland Hills. Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Street parking is not permitted.

A patriotic celebration for all ages
From bounce houses to live music, the event is designed to bring families and neighbors together for an evening of fun and connection. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and family-friendly games to enjoy before the 2,500 drones and fireworks illuminate the night sky.

Event schedule
  • Bounce houses and food trucks: 5-9 p.m.
  • DJ Matt Blake: 5-7:45 p.m.
  • Corndog eating contest: 6:30 p.m.
  • Patriotic salute to veterans: 7 p.m.
  • Texas Jazz All Stars: 7:45-9 p.m.
  • Fireworks and 2,500-drone show: 9:30 p.m.
Outdoor cooking devices, alcohol, and personal fireworks are not permitted.

A regional celebration rooted in community pride
This beloved tradition is made possible through the community partnerships of Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, and Watauga, along with generous support from local businesses. Hosting the celebration on July 1st gives North Tarrant the opportunity to begin the America250 celebration early with a 2,500-drone performance that honors the nation’s milestone birthday and showcases the region’s community spirit.

Event title sponsors include Five Star Ford and Medical City North Hills. Community sponsors include Birdville ISD, Buyers Barricades, Christmas Air and Plumbing, Let’s Jump Rentals, Lone Star Events and Tents, and Waste Connections.

FAQ's

Why is the event not on the 4th or the 3rd?
While traditionally the North Tarrant Chamber holds the event on the 3rd, this year it will be on the 1st due to regional resources deeply engaged in FIFA World Cup events including a match on the 3rd.  The Chamber and our partner cities, Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills and Watauga together made this decision to ensure attendees had a safe and fantastic time.

Additionally, we are proud to be an official participant in the America250 Commission’s events. We are thrilled to kick off a month of celebrations for America’s 250th Anniversary with an award-winning drone show by Sky Element Drones. Hosting this event on the 1st this year, or traditionally on July 3rd, allows us to provide this experience free of charge to our community.
