Established in 1957, the Northeast Tarrant Chamber has worked tirelessly to bring together area business leaders, local city administrators, Tarrant County representatives, state elected officials and area non-profits for the growth and advancement of Economic Development in Northeast Tarrant County. Today, Northeast Tarrant County is one of the fastest growing areas in the country and all area businesses enjoy a welcoming and optimistic business climate! |
The Northeast Tarrant Chamber has been helping businesses become more successful for more than 61 years. As part of our mission, we put a big emphasis on making our local community better, and in the last three years have received community service awards from the Community Enrichment Center, 6Stones, and The Empire Development Group in recognition of our efforts. In addition, our Chamber currently offers over 150 local events to help members establish long-lasting relationships as well as hone their business skills.
Our Chamber works annually with the school districts of Birdville ISD and Keller ISD along with numerous area private schools. Throughout the history of the Chamber, we have awarded more than 120 local scholarships worth over $120,000 to date!
Our Chamber is a fierce advocate of pro-business issues locally and in Austin. Our Chamber recently teamed up with the Arlington, Grapevine, HEB, and Mansfield Chambers to form the Coalition of East Tarrant Chambers to better represent the interests of business owners to our local, state and national elected officials.
Our Chamber appreciates the terrific efforts of our local non-profit organizations and each year we host our annual Chamber Hometown Heroes Luncheon. We have now honored over 800 Hometown Heroes throughout the history of the event!
We are currently in the Chamber’s sixth year of free Quarterly Business Workshops, where accomplished speakers present relevant business, personal and professional growth topics for Chamber Members.
Our Chamber continues our annual tradition of facilitating our annual Vital Link program that places approximately 70 8th grade students each year with local businesses to garner their first experience in the workforce. We have placed over 700 students to date!
The Northeast Tarrant Chamber offers one of the area's premier leadership development programs. Each year, we welcome 20-25 new students and have had more than 400 leadership graduates to date.
Our Chamber Family 4th Event annually attracts more than 30,000 area residents for a fantastic Independence Day Celebration with our Salute to Veterans, Corndog Eating Contest, Live Music Concert, and overall evening of celebration. This year marked the 21st year of offering our Family 4th celebration!
The Northeast Tarrant Chamber continues to support all area economic development efforts, thus, supporting infrastructure improvement efforts, revitalization projects, and new business attraction. Recent efforts include support of both the North Tarrant Express and TEXRail projects, expanding transportation infrastructure and offering more transportation alternatives.
For the past 9 years, the Northeast Tarrant Chamber has coordinated bringing more than 40 Chamber business people into BISD middle schools annually to present the Challenge by Choice program to Birdville ISD middle school students. To date, more than 300 local business people have participated in the program!
