We invite you to join the Northeast Tarrant Chamber and our 900 member businesses whose efforts promote local education, encourage economic development, support local non-profit organizations and help businesses become more successful. Below is a list of significant Chamber achievements over the last year…
1. Board of Directors and Chamber completed our first-ever, three-year strategic plan and as part of that plan, the Chamber exceeded 1,000-member companies.
2. Chamber joined with Arlington, Grapevine, HEB, and Mansfield Chambers to form the Coalition of E. Tarrant Chambers to represent the interests of business owners to our local, state and national elected officials.
3. The Chamber honored over 30 Local Hometown Heroes at the Chamber Hometown Heroes Luncheon. We have now honored over 800 Hometown Heroes throughout the history of the event!
4. Chamber’s fifth year of free Quarterly Business Workshops, where accomplished speakers present relevant business, personal and professional growth topics for Chamber Members.
5. Awarded 12 annual scholarships to senior high school students from BISD, KISD and member Private Schools. Have awarded 120 scholarships worth $120,000 to date!
6. Chamber facilitates successful weekly and monthly networking groups where members can meet and develop long-lasting relationships to help facilitate business growth – NET Work Success Group, NE Tarrant Networking, Business Over Breakfast, Home & Senior Services Networking, and NE Tarrant Toastmasters.
7. Chamber Served on the 2018 BISD Bond Committee for which the public Bond Proposal will be voted on in November 2018. In 2014, the Chamber provided a Resolution of Support and served as part of the successful BISD bond committee that convinced voters to approve a $163.2M Bond for new schools and improvements. New schools and upgrades were made according to budget and schedule timeline - and economic development for this area continues to advance as our schools continue to improve.
8. Have organized successful North Texas Giving Day annual luncheon to help spotlight the efforts of our local non-profit organizations and facilitate more financial support.
9. Continued annual Vital Link program that places approximately 70 8th grade students with Local Businesses to garner their first experience in the workforce. Have placed over 700 students to date!
10. Chamber welcomed 23 new Leadership NE participants, marking over 400 Leadership Graduates to Date.
11. Chamber Family 4th Event annually attracts more than 30,000 area residents for July 4th event with Salute to Veterans, Corndog Eating Contest, Live Music Concert, and overall evening of celebration.
12. Monthly meetings with the Economic Development Directors from our Partner Cities to strategize and collaborate on area development and economic opportunities.
13. The Northeast Tarrant Chamber has supported the efforts of both the North Tarrant Express and TEXRail to continue to expand area transportation infrastructure and offer more transportation alternatives.
14. Coordinate bringing more than 40 Chamber business members into BISD middle schools annually to present the Challenge by Choice Program to BISD Middle Schoolers.
15. Present members with over 150 annual events to meet and establish new business relationships and further their professional development within Northeast Tarrant County.
For 63 Years, the Northeast Tarrant Chamber has worked tirelessly to bring together area business leaders, local city administrators, Tarrant County representatives, state elected officials and area non-profits for the growth and advancement of Economic Development in Northeast Tarrant County and to help your business become more successful.
